How to check a Saudi commercial registration

Learn how to look up a Saudi CR number, read published business details and check the source period before using a result in your workflow.

Start with a business identifier

Enter the business’s 10-digit commercial registration (CR) number or unified national number in the CR lookup tool. You can also search by Arabic business name where supported. A name match helps find candidates; confirm the identifier before choosing a record.

The free number-format checker checks the structure of a number only. A valid format does not mean the number appears in the published registry; use the lookup tool to search the records.

Read the record and its data period

Results use official published Ministry of Commerce records. Depending on the source, a record may include the legal name, legal form, region and registered capital. Check the displayed data period and lookup time, and retain that context with any result you save.

A found result means the identifier appears in the published release. A not-found result means it was not found in that release; it does not establish that a business is inactive or does not exist.

Use the result in business onboarding

For supplier onboarding, compare the returned business name and identifier with the information submitted by the supplier. For business-customer registration, use the record to reduce manual entry and send discrepancies for human review. These checks support your process; they do not replace due diligence.
