CR number vs unified national number in Saudi Arabia

Understand Saudi commercial registration and business unified national numbers, avoid confusing them with personal IDs, and choose the right lookup input.

Two business identifiers, not personal IDs

Saudi CR Pro accepts a 10-digit CR number or a business unified national number. They identify business records through different fields in the source. Do not assume the numbers are interchangeable or derive one from the other.

Personal national IDs and residency numbers are not supported. Keep business identifiers in separate fields from personal identity information, and do not submit personal IDs to the lookup API.

Collect and compare the correct number

Ask the business for its CR or unified national number and record which identifier it supplied. Treat identifiers as strings in your integration. When a result is returned, compare the corresponding identifier and legal name instead of accepting a similar name alone.

If a number has the right format but is not found, check for a typing error, confirm the identifier with the business and review the source period. Use the Ministry inquiry service when current official information is needed.

Try the tools and read the documentation
